Maggie Harrington works as an artist and arts organizer. In 2016 she graduated from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago with a BFA in sculpture. Upon moving back to her hometown, Los Angeles her work became more responsive to the way the city consumes and uses products. Having worked in a prop house, she furthered her education in the history of furniture and set design. With changing mediums Maggie’s work investigates the lines separating functional furniture, sculpture and props. Her work maintains a playful handmade quality while serving a familiar function within a home.
